AGILE Methodologies

 SCRUM

Scrum is a lightweight process framework that uses and applies Agile project management in its most basic form. H. Scrum focuses on dividing complex software development into smaller iterations called sprints. Sprints are time-limited periods lasting two to four weeks. Each sprint is marked with milestones that represent the team's top priorities that they are trying to achieve. Scrum works with a small number of artifacts  designed solely to maximize transparency and provide opportunities for adoption and self-reflection. These are Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Increment, Scrum Team Roles and Responsibilities, Product Owner, etc. The Scrum framework works with a set of prescribed and regulated events. Each event itself is time-limited.

XP

Like Scrum, Extreme Programming is a lightweight, agile project management method focused on responding to changing customers and their preferences. This lightweight, agile project management approach is called Extreme Programming. It was designed as an incremental approach to software development, focusing on how to write and test
code. The core idea that XP classifies  as an Agile methodology is  teamwork and iteration based on a system of simultaneous coding, testing, and design across projects. You want to maximize team collaboration and interaction while minimizing the need for large amounts of documentation.
XP is more than just a multi-step method. A set of values was established to  guide team behavior and understand how  XP is implemented using the  Agile project management paradigm. XP has five important stats. Simplicity, effective communication, consistent feedback, respect and courage.
